The Turin Giants Appoint Ex- Azzurri Head Coach the Experienced Gaffer

The Serie A powerhouse have appointed former Azzurri manager Spalletti as their manager for the remainder of the campaign.

Spalletti takes over from his predecessor, who was let go after the Serie A side's defeat by Lazio on Sunday.

Tudor had joined the club in March to replace Thiago Motta but departed after seven months at the end of an eight-match winless run.

Spalletti led Napoli to the Serie A title in 2022-23 before taking charge of Italy, which missed out on the 2022 World Cup with Mancini at the helm.

Under his guidance, they made it to Euro 2024 exiting in the last 16 stage against Switzerland.

Nonetheless, Italy dismissed Spalletti in June following a loss to Norway in World Cup qualifying, as Italy faced the possibility of not making a third World Cup in a row.

Spalletti has also managed Inter Milan, Roma and Udinese in Serie A and won the Russian Premier League twice with Zenit St Petersburg.

Juventus were temporarily led by Massimo Brambilla for their 3-1 win against Udinese on Wednesday moving them to seventh position in the league - trailing leaders Napoli by six points after nine matches.

They are 25th in the league phase of the Champions League, with one loss and two draws in their first three games.
